Adopt-A-Room The DVRCSC provides emergency shelter to women and their children who are homeless due to domestic violence, or who are attempting to free themselves from a violent relationship. Our safe home is a special place - one that provides families a safe, peaceful, non-judgmental environment and comfortable living accommodations. We work with our safe home guests to help them heal physically and emotionally and empower them to make decisions through education and access to information. We provide a variety of services which support them as the move forward with their lives. Clients at the safe home may stay for a maximum of six months to ensure they are ready to take the next step in their lives - one free of violence. Our staff and volunteers are well qualified to assist these women and children, but we need the community's help... YOUR help... to maintain and improve the overall comfort of the safe home's accommodations. As a group or as an individual, please consider adopting a room within our safe home to revitalize. The following is a list of adoption
opportunities. Your
participation will be acknowledged with a donor plaque displayed in the
room you have adopted. We have suggested an adoption price for each room
at the safe home. You may do more if you wish, and our staff are
available to discuss your specific ideas and interests. ROOMS FOR ADOPTION BEDROOMS: each will need paint, pictures, window treatments, lamps, mirrors, baby monitors, alarm clocks, bed linens, pillows, etc. East: $600 -
$750 LIVING ROOM: will need paint, window treatments, decorations, and a DVD player. Adoption: $1,500 YARD and BACK DECK: Need some mighty souls to do some heavy duty hard work - weed control, grass maintenance, tree and brush trimming and buying: replacing some fencing. Build/purchase a toy box and deck furniture. Adoption: Muscle, Sweat, plus $1,500 - $2,000 To make a donation, you may fill out our
